English Carnival 2014 : Week 3

Hi there! Here we go again with a new post for week 3. Yes, this is another updates of the activities that were held for last week. We apologised for being quite late in updating these activities due to our busyness in conducting another activities for last week. 

Well, to begin this post, for your information, there were 5 activities/events/games that were held for Week 3 of our English Carnival. They are 4 Pics 1 Word (daily), Draw It Right, Mini Charock, Python Resistance and Talent Idol (Preliminary Round).

The third week began with another daily game named as 4 Pics 1 Word. This game have the same concept as the same game that you've been playing all this while in your own mobile phone. Slightly different as this game needs the participants to guess the right word based on 4 pictures displayed on a polystyrene board. In order to answer, the participants need to take a form prepared by the people-in-charge of this game and to submit it, you need to put it in a box placed in front of our class. Well, no more explicit talk about this game, let's congratulate the winners for this game! ^^

Second activity that was held on the third week was Draw It Right. This activity was held in the TSSK Hall with participants of 6 teams (6 people in a team). Overall, this game needs the first person to draw based on the word he got from the facilitator of their team (the organiser). Then, the first person will start drawing in 10 seconds, then show the drawing to the second person. and continually until the fifth person. After that, the last person need to guess the answer based on the fifth person's drawing. Well, it was slightly confusing, but overall it was fun! We believe that the participants enjoyed this game very well. With that, let's see the list of the winners!

Third activity that was held was Mini Charock. This game was also held daily. With a concept finding the winners, the Mini Charock Crew had been searching for trainees, staffs and lecturers in order to give them chances to play this game. We were so glad that all trainees, staffs and lecturers were very sporting in joining this game although they seemed busy with their stuffs. Well, let's continue with the list of the winners!

The forth activity that was held named as Python Resistance. In simple words, this game is similar to Snake and Ladder. We also got many participants in this game. With a huge scale of Snake and Ladder, the participants were able to be into it and walk around it. Well, of course they were having so much fun! You may see their enjoyment in these pictures below! ^^

The last activity that was held last week was Talent Idol (Preliminary Round). With 15 participants, this event was held with a concept of "Gig Concert". To ensure the concept was adhered, the audience were so sporting to sit and stand during the performances. It was another new thing that was done in this campus. Overall, the event went very smoothly. Have a look at the pictures!

The winners for this event will be announce on our English Carnival Closing Ceremony which will be held tonight! So, come and support the finalists of this event! Let's Rock with English!

English Carnival 2014 : Week 2 (Part 2)

Let's continue reading the second part of Week 2's event. Huh. feel like endless, aren't you? Well, the English Carnival is held for a month. So, like it or not, just read it. Have fun!

Another game that was held in the second week is Memory Quiz. This game was held on 11th February 2014 at TSSK Hall. With participations of 11 groups from different options, this game had been a success as the participants were enjoying the game whole-heartedly.

Next, another game was held on 16th February 2014 (Sunday) named as Rocking Man. 

This game was participated by 7 teams from different options. This game was conducted based on the Running Man variety show. Overall, this game was a success for everyone who participated it. English Carnival 2014 : Week 2 (Part 1)

Hello guys!

This is the second update on our English Carnival. On the second week, there were a few activities that being held. They are Find Me! (daily), Memory Quiz and Rocking Man. 

Find Me! is just the name of a common game. It was actually a word search game which is in bent & wiggly puzzle form. This game was held from 10th to 13th February 2014 and placed on the English Booth. Every day a new theme of word search was given to ensure that the participants felt the uniqueness of our game. Plus, we are really glad about the response from everyone which we never expected it would be that amaaaazing! Thanks a lot for enjoying this game and never give up on answering the Find Me! sheets every day. 

Throughout that week, we have chosen 2 main winners daily and 8 consolations for the trainees while for staffs and lecturers, we only provided a winner a day. So, let's see the lists of the winners & consolations for trainees, staffs & lecturers!

English Carnival 2014 : Week 1

As promised, we will bring you the updates of our English Carnival weekly.

On the first week of this carnival, there were two main activities that being held which are Spell Buster and Interactive Games.

FYI, Spell Buster was held on 4th to 7th February 2014. This game was conducted daily by our Spell Buster Crew (Shammey, Nordin, Patima, Farhan and Amni). The concept of this game is approaching anyone (the trainees or lecturers) and they will give them a word to spell. If they could spell it correctly, they will be the winner for every day for 4 days. As this game has ended, here is the list of the winners for this game.

The second event that was held on 4th February 2014 was named as Interactive Games. This game was held in the Makmal Bahasa and participated by many lecturers, staffs and trainees as well. Basically, this game needed the participants to answer as many correct answers as possible to defeat the other participants. Those who managed to get the highest marks will be the winner! English Carnival 2014 : Introduction

Hello guys!

We are back with new updates on our latest activities after a very long time being quiet around here. Well, too busy with this new activity that will be held for a month. It is the English Carnival 2014! This carnival will be conducted by our class (PISMP TESL Group 2 Semester 5) and will be held from 4th to 27th February 2014. 

Since we kind of a bit late on updating the news about it, we just passed the second week of the English Carnival (today is the last day of the second week). So, we would like to highlight some activities that had been held for the past two weeks in our upcoming blog post due to there are a lot of things to be written here. Yes, we meant a lot!

In conjunction with the English Carnival, we had set up an English Booth since the first week of this carnival. Many things had been sold such as accessories, desserts and keychains. Do visit our booth daily at 9.30 a.m. You may join the daily games that we had prepared too as well as get a chance to win!

Lastly, we were very glad and we do appreciate everyone who had supported us by joining all kinds of games that we have prepared. Thanks a lot from Terian Crew!
